Repairing a racing jacket
My son has a new jr racing jacket. Hanging up in the trailer, a mouse got into it! 25 years and never had that. Hole in the armpit. Is there material and thread available to repair this yourself? We know folks who sew. But they don't have the right material.

What’s his size and color preference? I have an extra jacket laying around that was given to me that he can have if it fits. Might be heavier than he needs.

His is black, and matches his pants. They use the lightest jackets. I don't think there is any safety problem here. Just aggravating after wearing it once. Awesome offer Green. Let me see if I can patch this up and have it look right.

Honestly if it's a single layer they have less protection than a Levi's denim jacket. They are just cotton that they supposedly treat with something. I wouldn't be afraid to have a patch sewn into it. Ive had the mouse problems in my trailer. I have to set traps over the winter and usually catch a few.

I have two now that I think of it, both red and one is the lightest one. I don’t think you will have issues with a patch.
