Someone should mention emulsion to him. That throws a whole new learning curve at ya.

A simple carb like that with no booster does not need emulsion, emulsion is air correction to fix the fuel curve a booster creates. It was not intended to emulsify fuel, that is only a benefit from using emulsion. What happens when you use too much emulsion is you mess up the fuel curve in some part of the throttle opening or WOT curve.

My comment about emulsion was relating to him wanting to learn how carbs work not that I thought the one he built need or could use it.
