This is not a thread on who, what and where tires are made. This was started to guide me towards a final goal of getting new tire on my trailer.
Thanks

So where your tires are made means nothing to you? You don’t care about your life or your country?

The fight didn't end there, now your country is circling the drain by its prosperity having been offshored to china.

Why do you think all this money is being printed out of thin air? It will end horribly for regular folks.

The attack never slackens

If you don’t care where the stuff comes from that you buy and more importantly where the $ goes then you forget or never cared why you wore the uniform and your great grandchildren will be cursing you for the war they have to fight with the Chinese. That day is coming and if your buying Chinese junk then your $ has been and continues to help build their war machine. They now have the largest navy in the world, why? Soon they will have the largest Air Force.

That said, you were told in the first few replies back on page 1 what made in the USA tire to use.

First, thank you for your service.
Second, it's pretty easy to see the members that may or may not answer your question, but who are certainly going to answer all the questions you didn't ask and pass judgements on you along the way. There is an ignore feature, and it cleans threads up nicely.

And I/We thank you for your service TD1964! Not worthy

The current administrations ( and others) have sold us out! At this point in the game it’s too late to worry about what's made where ( it’s not going to change anytime soon) and getting a quality tire. Most of this is American engineering made there. Some tires are. My neighbor is one of the biggest tire guys on the west coast. I listen and I see.. he has spent months over seas making deals and building quality tires. He sells them all. That being said, if you think you are getting a better tire made here you better do your homework. Some are - some are not. I’ve been told over and over- LT tires are light truck tires not trailer tires. Trailer tires work hard and most do not have shocks , rebound. Making zero radius turns kills sidewalls..
Nothing is made like it used to be made...
Corporate America top heavy is good for outsourcing...like buying up the competition because your products are not as good and you bury them!
I don’t like it but I’m not buying cheep built American made junk either.

Thanks TD1964,
1/75th Ranger here. Got my lumps and have also lost friends.

It constantly amazes me how anyone would ever question a man's or woman's service based on something he/she purchases, supports or anything other than something being derogatory to the country. Those that typically do that haven't served and do not know what it means to possibly pay the ultimate sacrifice for everyone to have a free voice to say what they want, buy what they want and legally do what they want.
I have the holes to prove that I almost paid it but thankful that I am still here and wake up every day, even if it is a little slower than before.

Now on track with the thread, I am looking at buying for my trailer as well but I have 15" rims. Has anyone gone from a 15 to a 16 rim. My current tires are 225/75R15, I was going to get new tires but this thread has got me thinking about going to a 16" rim if It will fit in the wheel well. This is a 28ft dual axle trailer with 6 lug axels.

I have the same issue. I can't go to a 16" No room. You have a friend with a 16 (6) that you might be able to try his spare?. On my 44' its way too close to even try.. AND both of you Gentleman'

Boz, thank you also. I hope that TD1964 didn't get fed up and leave over this.

It'll fit the wheel well probably, I think the issue would be dependent on the axle spacing. I walked out and looked at mine for you, I have 3" separating the the front and rear tires.... 225 75r 15" tire 88.78 rollout... 225 75r 16" tire 92.5 rollout.

There are some 215/75-16's in 10 ply. I had the on my Vintage 28ftr. They were way better than the 15's. No scrubbing on mine. Im trying to remember what brand they were.

You have to put in the effort, to get anything out of it.
