I’ve actually never heard of a 7al. I was assuming you meant either 7al2 or 7al3 which both work great behind a 7730 (the red box). If there really is such a thing as a 7al, I would assume it works too.

Running the rev limiter through the grid is rough on the 2 although I did it on blown and nitrous setups. I think it’s worse or maybe doesn’t work on the 3.

Yes, the grid is completely legal for any Nhra racing where you can enter a pipe rack.

Best ~350 you’ll ever spend for a fast bracket car that doesn’t already have timing control.

Yes 7al2, just missed adding the 2. Rev limiter as in the 3 step? I will have to do some reading about the grid as I know nothing about it.

I saw a few posts in forums where people found sticking with there three step instead of the RPM control in the grid made the RPM more stable.

TD I have a lot of experience with Nitrous Express. Great people with Tons of knowledge. I would strongly recommend the printed tuning info from the system you get to start with. Don't deviate from this till you learn how to tune with nitrous. Call NX and ask for Mike Abney he will get you the correct system and correct starting tune. Never hesitate to call them back with questions. they are very willing to help with it all.

I have been working with NX for about 12 years now and did some of the original development work on the Alcohol systems. We have won TD championships in TD with Alky setups on our BBC. The setups are very different than gas and what needs to be done as well as the limits (mostly based on the amount of fluid in the chamber). Their gas systems are very well sorted out also and provide great power. They will all be on the very safe side, I would err on the leaner side of things unless you don't have a flow gauge for the fuel side. This is way more critical on gas than with alky due to the tuning window.

By the way, if anyone needs an alky set up for a Dominator I have a twin Gemini plate up to 300hp with 4 bottles that has never been hooked up or had nitrous in any of the bottles. All bottles have high flow valves and gauges on them. This setup was around $1800 new, PM me if you have any interest, went to a mini blower is the only reason I am selling. And no, not going to put it on the blower set up, LOL.

If that's the case, is the Twin Gemini Plate kit designed to work with gas AND alcohol? On their website I see like the Conventional kit has a normal version and then an alcohol version, but the Gemini does not.. Then looking on their jetting chart, it has both gas/alcohol/ethanol jetting all on the same chart. Reason for asking is I bought the Pro-Power kit for my dragster two years ago when I was doing a big chief motor and wanted to try and spray the whole track and only ever ended up using it as override (on gas), fast forward to this past season, sold the big chief and traded dragster etc. so we put the kit on my brothers dragster that runs on alcohol in case he decided to try using an override at some point..

They are perimeter plates, the difference is in the solenoids are the big lightening ones, they are bigger and stronger. The conventional were bar plates and the restriction is different on those and you get a different solenoid for gas than alky. The Twin Gemini is one bad azz plate.

Is either style better? IE nozzles into each port, or plates under the carburetors? Any difference in tuning or anything? Since my engine already had the tunnel ram intake, I was thinking of nozzles into each runner.

Plate hits harder and there is a cost difference between the two. If you have the room a fogger can be tuned a little better per cylinder based on the plug reading.

How much HP are you looking for? If your looking for 150 to 250/300 and want a clean install, meaning no lines and nozzles for a fogger system, I'd talk to Steve Johnson about installing a spray bar deal inside your intake, then you just have two solenoids and two jets per tune up with no BS in the way. If you go fogger, I'd look into a soft line setup vs the hard lines.

It looks like 200 - 250 is what I would need for the gains I was looking for. So simplicity of the system and tuneup would be what I would be more interested in.
