I have black box radios for com with my car and crew. Radios work great but the headset in my helmet is about done. One speaker isn't working at all, the other is staticky. The mic works when it wants too. Looking at a Midland setup but open to suggestions. Looking for input!

Racing Radios did our last two helmets.

I just sent them the helmet and it came back like it was designed that way!

They usually have a service truck at National Events too.

My crew guy guides me back from a burnout with the radio, also to get in just the right spot to start the burnout. The radio has been more useful than I thought it would.

Also comes in handy to communicate when sitting the lanes all suited up, such as "Hey did you see that girl with the big b o o b s by the fence over there?". Eek

This is who I used, great personalized service, and radios have been flawless.

I like the idea of listening to the announcer...could get some interesting info right there. Of course he might announce it wrong..LOL

I just want a set for "wake-up calls" before I pull out.

Correct me if I’m wrong but couldn’t you tell the driver to lift or if his opponent broke or a myriad of other things?

It's nice to have crisp clear communications with your pit or crew. Never know when you might need a tow or an update on lane conditions. Plus we always use them offroad and makes an easy transition to the dragstrip.
