This past weekend was one of the worst weekends I've had to endure in this car in a long time. I need your help to figure out what may be the issue. Here are incrementals with weather as well.

oh, car is an FED, 468 BBC, iron heads, Enderle 8 stack injection on alky, 32 nozzles. 40 degrees timing, launch at 5400, stall at 6400, shift at 7000, MT tires, 33x10.5 6.25 psi, 120 passes on them.

60' 660' 660'mph 1320' 1320'mph Temp DA Humidity Barometer Pill Size
1.211 5.391 125.69 8.577 151.28 84.7 6551' 21.3% 25.76 85

Glide in there im assuming? Idk anything about fed tuning but why are u launching so high? Id lower that a bit and start with getting the car to 60' consistently. After u get the 60's back which could be the tires from launching so high and beating the sidewalls out id then work on the back half of the track. Babysteps. Your split times look pretty off but idk if your tires being most likely gone are causing that drastic move or tuneup. What ignition are u running?

Seems like a lot of passes on 10.5's in my opinion.......also pretty low air pressure for that tire.

I would clean out your fuel system and all of your nozzles real good. Look for small pieces of trash in the nozzles. Recently I had a filter come apart and similar problems. Cleaned it out and it went back to normal. Now that may or may not be it but first thing I would do is check and eliminate it.

Yes Ryan, it's a glide. I had thought taking about a 1000 rpm swing at the converter was normal. I can try more.
I have an MSD grid for the ignition.
I will pull the nozzles and look for stuff in them. Thank you for the ideas

I agree with raising tire pressure to. My car runs 14x32 tire and I am running 6.8. smaller tire you need MORE air to support same weight.
Also the sidewalls will last longer with more pressure.

Now I think tire pressure is only a small part of the problems but something to look at.

From my experience first place I would look is cleaning out nozzles.

I also have the grid and it can be a helpful tool for calming the car down out of the hole. If you aren't comfortable with that i can help you with that also. But start with basics first. Definitely drop the launch imo its way high. Id start with 4400 and probably just keep it there until u can repeat to the 330'

lower launch 1,000 RPM

I believe you said you had a grid, pull 8 degrees of timing for the first 2 seconds of the run

change the tires to a new set, experiment with air pressure

majority of problems seem to me to be inconsistent 60 foot times

Do you have a larger set of tires like 14x32 you can borrow to make some test passes? Just to try to narrow it down quicker.

Just curious questions to speed things along.
1: What base geo altitude does your weather thing use?
2: Is the fuel pump a Enderle 80a-5?
3: Are the nozzles .032 or a double number set like 28-32?
4: Is there a roll over can on the tank vent?
5: Tank vent size?
6: Weight of car is 1700 lbs or less?
7: Was this car closer to consistent before this weekend? If so, what did you change? Something changed.
8: Ever have anyone video the tires at the leave?

While you are checking nozzles,
1: check and clean all the check valves.
2: Blow out all lines just to feel good about it.
3: Check tank to pump hose for possible collapse.
If any doubt about it or the age of it replace it.
5: Replace all o-rings between tank and pump.
5: Check tank vent for blockage.
If this all passes muster, move on to other areas.

I can't remember the last time I was able to make 10 passes in one day. whew

I'll try to respond to everything.
I have to have a short offset on rims because of how the rear end was shortened so larger wheels and tires may be an issue to try but I'll look into it.
Been using the 6.25 psi for 6 years, but then again it's making a ton more power this year.
Pump is an 80a-5
Nozzles are 28-32 with air bleed holes
Tank vent is 3/8" dia with a vent breather, no rollover.
Car weighs around 1750
Car hasn't really been consistent all year.
Passes were 4 on Friday, 4 Saturday and the 2 eighth mile were sunday.

Not sure about weather station base, but track static is 4280' and when it's hot, it's over 7000' by everyone's weather, at least as far as I've seen

I will do that this evening. What changed was I went from a 1050 carb on gas to this injection. I know the car makes more power because the converter went from stalling at 5600 to 6400 this year. I'll post a few runs from when the car was actually dialable last year.

Kind of brings it back to tires doesn't it and maybe gear if you jumped up the HP a bunch?

I don't think the 32s will help unless the track is super clean and prepped. They more likely will act as pontoons on this type of car.
Talk one of your friends with a fast FPS camera into video the rear tires. You should be able to discern slippage or if they are wadding up on you creating the rubber band porpoise maneuver.

FWIW, google earth shows the starting line at 4243 ft.
https://airdensityonline.com/t...y_Mountain_Raceways/ has it at 4252.
That's not your problem but might get your weather numbers tighter down the road.

Wish I could get those low water grains down here.

Wondering if you have any o2 values to support your tuneup, as it sounds like you haven't been dialable on alky. All have good suggestions but I would like to eliminate systems first. If you could go back to gas easily....?

From looking at numbers and weather I suspect it may be way too fat.
What do plugs look like after pass?
How much water temp you gaining during a pass?
