At the Halloween Classic...4th round she nosed over and I clicked it off... Looks like the bearing was beat out of the roller on the lifter....valve stem end was broke off....luckily the lash cap, valve end, and locks were still in the top of the motor...only a very small imprint on the piston!

If it barely imprinted into the piston I would say mmost likely, it may not even be hurt if he is really lucky.

Close call, if I had to have a bad day this would be something I would like to have. Could have been a lot worse...

Glad your motor is still in fairly good shape!

Staighten it out in a bench vise and lap her back in. She'll be good to go. I've done a thousand of them that way.

NAhhhh...9 degree isn't NOS friendly! LOL Keeping the 3.625 stroke, but taking the bore from 4.125 to 4.185, putting the cam back in that needs to be, and putting a set of RFD Monster 15's on it with a dominator....Should wake thing s up...not that it was lazy before! LOL

Downfall to the Little Chief is the block and other associated junk you would have to re-buy to make them work...I've seen a pair and the are for sure the real deal! With that said, I would be looking at a GM canted valve head....but that just aint in the cards....YET! LOL

I've thought about trying those heads. I wonder if any of the PST stuff is floating around.

A friend of mine has a pair of Jegs PST heads. They are all custom heads in one way or another. Jesel told him if he wanted a set of rockers for them to ship them the heads and they will make them specifically for the heads he has. They look like works of art and are neat to look at but they would be very pricey to use. He hasn't used them yet. He also has two sheetmetal intakes and the block from one of Jegs motors. Those are real short decks! It is kind of a neat block to look at and see the differences between that and a "normal" small block, block.

Dave, a friend of mine was heavily involved in the PST engine program for Jeg's. If you need info I can get his contact information to you. He also is doing pretty well right now... doing the engine building for the leading PS car.
