I understand it to be true, and it’s been on Jared and Luke’s podcast the last couple of weeks. There was also this Facebook post today:

I saw the same post that he had bought IHRA and I really do not know what that means for us. I hope it is a good thing.

My hands are tied for about 1 more week and all the rumors about the direction of the IHRA will be put to rest. There’s one goal to make ihra the biggest and best sportsman series in the world period.

IHRA was doing pretty well until those bottom feeders called IRG got in on it. They did exactly what those types of investors do.

Will see who he builds for a team. The time is ripe for new sanctioning bodies. The NHRA business model is struggling today. There will be others coming I bet.

Racing in general is struggling under this administration and the future is uncertain. I do think most of the NHRA and even IHRA problems were ones they created this new administration could be bigger problem long term.

Ihra has been a failure for a long while and ran off its core racers 10 years ago. NHRA has customers paying well over $400 to enter a national event and for the most part fields are full in the sportsman ranks. Ihra has zero chance of affecting Nhra's bottom line.

NHRA has a strange "bottom line" being a non-profit they eat up tons of cash with Board of Director salaries and "perks" for the old guys that had a good run at it.

Now they are selling off property, getting division directors for chump change because they want to move up in NHRA positions.

Nobody on the planet charges more and pays less than NHRA, at every level. memberships fees, license fees, chassis certs, new safety equipment rules to keep advertisers happy. Been the same **** show about "getting a Wally" for 15 years. Now you can get them in brackets and JR dragster. Just "Be a Member", the key to everything.

Be interesting if Jeffers convinced tracks to quit leasing out their property for a promoter to walk in, take more money out than the rental and not own a thing. IHRA could become part of that and secure better profits for smaller tracks by being some sort of "broker" and get the "class racers" involved in $5000 and maybe $10,000 to win Sportsman series races.

Lot of possibilities, time will tell I guess. Get a good TV (YouTube) package put together and a new IHRA could be interesting.

Good luck to them, bumpy road ahead but the racers are out there. They just don't want to empty their wallet to be a part of the IHRA events.

Business in general has sucked in the last 18 months. But ihra sure took a licking when purchased bu IRG.

From what I've been hearing Mr. Jeffers may have a thing or two to consider before this deal is done. Perhaps this is why he's not saying much at this point.

I would say this is true overall, but if IHRA figures out a good Stock/Super Stock program, they might put a big dent in the sportsman side.

Lots of Stock/SS racers run super comp or super gas as well.
