I don't know where Carl got his info. He's usually in the loop on things but I'm just posting what he posted, so I have no confirmation on all that.

From the link Richard shared, (open letter from Jeffers to the IHRA members):

"We are currently adding to our team and are working hard to ensure both the current and future success of the sanctioning body through the IHRA Summit SuperSeries programs and the IHRA Sportsman Spectacular presented by Hagerty and Moser Engineering events.

We will have representatives at each of the IHRA Summit SuperSeries Team Finals and the IHRA Summit SuperSeries World Finals and look forward to seeing you there. We appreciate your support as we know the grassroots racers are the backbone of the sport."

Sounds encouraging, we can only hope...

We have confirmed MMTV will be streaming the Finals from Holly Springs. We have been asked to look at this years schedule and see what our thoughts are for 2023. Their is suppose to be a meeting at PRI.

In todays IHRA news they are suspending all fees to tracks for 2023 and extending that offer to new tracks.
"IHRA

HOUSE SPRINGS, Missouri — It’s easy to say one’s committed to the future of grassroots, Sportsman racing, but it’s another thing to show it.
The International Hot Rod Association (IHRA) is putting its money where its mouth is by waiving all track sanctioning fees for the 2023 racing season. For the IHRA member tracks who have already paid 2023 fees, it will be counted towards their 2024 sanctioning fees.
It’s a way for new IHRA owner Larry Jeffers and staff to show our appreciation to all current IHRA member tracks who have continued to support the IHRA and its racing programs.
This offer also extends to new tracks looking to join the IHRA for the 2023 racing season. We ask you give us a chance and take advantage of the great racing programs we offer and enjoy the benefits of being IHRA member tracks.
Through this and other initiatives, we look to strengthen the relationships with our existing tracks and racers. We also look forward to building new partnerships in an exciting future for the IHRA.
For those looking to renew their current agreements or new tracks looking to join the International Hot Rod Association, e-mail LJeffers@ihra.com"

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

There is also a new Drag racing association the WDRA supposed to be coming up soon. I do not think it is a good time to be starting a new one but I guess they think it is.
