Cool beans! Any chance there will also be no b*ybacks on Sunday? Asking for a friend. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Wes Siegel wheeled his gorgeous '69 Camaro through the largest Door Car race in history to capture the Friday 10K win over a red-lighting Jeff Faucette. Siegel advanced to the finals through David Davis in the semis, while Faucette defeated Lee Desist in the other semifinal pair.

Ladies and Gentleman, after setting a blowout record of 474 on Friday's 10K of the Racer Tees American Doorslammer Nationals presented by McCarty Auto Parts, Inc., the racers stepped up massively once more, and there is another new record for the largest door car big money bracket race in history, of 539 entries!

Loose Rocker racers assembled an astounding cast of 539 entries on Saturday for the ATI $20K Main Event at the Racer Tees American Doorslammer Nationals presented by McCarty Auto Parts, Inc. When the smoke cleared, it was Andy Lloyd hoisting the big check and the Loose Rocker Eagle trophy, turning back the challenge by Rick Whaley.

Defining the level of competition has been a pair of perfect runs. Matt Palyas carded the .000 dead 0 pass on Friday, and Dallas Cherry used a .000 dead 0 on Saturday to defeat the .000 start by his opponent, Joe Hartsell.

Matt Palyas - Friday PERFECT RUN!

Don't know if it worth mentioning or not but the runner up in both races was a regular Piedmont racer. Both Rick Whaley and Jeff Faucett are regular Piedmont racers. Loose Rocker doing a great job.

Just finished 1st round---its 5:15. Looks like a long night. Seems like something might have happened to make 1 round last 7 hours because they don't mess around at Piedmont.
