Kevin Pollard.

Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Big money footfeeder, you mean. There are guys who never go to those races who are just as deadly.

I have heard rumors about his secret but I won't spread it nor would I use it if true.

Steve Taylor was considered pretty good back in the day.
Eric Aman, Tommy Duff, Steve and Richard Alford are good footbrakers from my neck of the woods too.

Thanks Mike, I believe it was Steve Taylor.
Who was WAY ahead of his time with the concept that he tried pushing for years, which is what we now call True Start. IIRC he called it a Worst Red Light option. I wonder if that thread is still on here, or if it was dumped during the purge about 15 years back...

True Start should have been in place from the get go IMO. Wish more tracks would run it.

I have never heard a valid opinion as to why people dislike True Start. Typically, all they can say is "Well its always been this way"

Steve and Brenda Taylor were both pretty good. They took lowly stock Cavaliers and made fools of many a high dollar race car and driver. They also brought Steve Stites into that mix.

As someone said above "what is foot brake?" I recently attended a race called "the no button nationals". Buttons everywhere. My opinion is a foot brake racer needs no buttons period. Their is a class for button racers.

There are lots of opinions. You probably said you haven't heard a valid one because you disagree.
My opinion is that the faster car should have an advantage that the other car redlights and the race is over.
And I race in Stock Eliminator with one of the slowest cars in the class.Running low 11's,I rarely leave second.I almost always have the first chance to redlight.
I think it probably makes sense when both racers are leaving off of the same signal with delay boxes.
But I'm just not a fan of it.Probably getting old and set in my ways.
