Frank: Try any smaller food market stores from 8-9AM. Was able to get chicken and other meats as well as a large roll of TP, a couple paper towels and some tissue. They were limiting amounts which I am OK with.

True about the small store. I ventured out day before yesterday and found every thing in the out of the way stores normal. On the other hand Wal Mart looked like a third country with out anything.

Fern, people your way must have a lot more sense. Yesterday we went to the far end of the next town over. It's all a blur but about 5 stores and never found bread or flour. didn't need it but there was no TP, had to look. Meat section was cleaned out. Saw people with stacks of cases of canned goods in their carts. Ran into people I know that were not from that area also making multiple stops at stores looking for certain items like bread, eggs and milk.

We are at our country house now not in town but it seems country folks aren't as concerned since they are used to going to the store a couple of times a month and have the freezer full usually. Maybe thats why these stores out here are about normal except hardly anyone in them. One store actually cut steaks for us while we waited. Their display cases were full, they had TP and water but the place was empty. Mama just went on her walk and the $$ general 2 miles away had milk, bread, TP, water, and paper towels. So I guess it all about how much panic is in your area. We are staying close and avoiding people pretty much.

Somewhere around the third or maybe the fourth of April people will be returning their toilet paper stash to get the rent money.

Idiots!

I had to go into our local WalMart yesterday and they had probably 30% of the normal paper products. I didn't need any so didn't get any. I was trying not to spend any more time in there than I had to and didn't even look to see how the meat department was.

I looked like a college running back avoiding people in the aisles. LOL

I did see lots of masks, although I'm not sure where they are getting those. I had 32 of the N-95 masks at my shop and I gave those to my son for him and his fellow docs to use in the ER where he works. They were all happy to see them.

I still have the Hospital masks that I was given when our two youngest children were born, they are now 36 and 38. I kept them for sentamental reasons but I'm now putting them back into service IF I go out shopping for groceries. 22 days in a row, still at home but running low on food.

As for toilet paper shortage, I still have the Honda pressure washer, the "Little Lady" of the house refuses to use it. Women, just can't figure out their logic.
