lol ... That explains why a lot of the farmington boys LOVED the Leazers and had an "awesome" time at their party tent at the bracket finals ...

If drag racers had to take drug tests, which ... why not? Then the tracks would probably have to shut down cuz half of the guys would be out.

To this comment -- I had an awesome time in their tent without drugs..

and to the whole situation -- I guess times are tough but seriously? Not the type of family business that should be paying for racing.

We spent a little time in the Mooresville Tent also...again, drug free. We have raced as part of their team in the past and have always had a great time and we are completely drug and alcohol free. Seems my husbands drug of choice is adrenaline stimulated by the racing, and now he's got me hooked!

Attention racers, Doug Leazer would like to announce to everyone that he was in no way involved with the happenings this past week and would also like to say that none of his employees were associated in any way. He is stating this because his name has been brought up in a few forums and places the past few days and would like to clear the air that he, Doug Leazer WAS NOT involved and his top intrest is still and always will be running Mooresville Dragway. He hopes to see eyeryone back in 2010 for another great year of racing at Mooresville Dragway.

For what it's worth, Doug and Jody seem like night and day. Never heard anything negative about Doug in this respect, never got any impressions as such from our dealings with Doug either.

I am sure some people did have a good time at their tent WITHOUT drugs.

But a real high percentage of the racers on any given saturday are under the influence of either drugs or alcohol. I have seen drugs bought, sold, and done at the track. Not saying its any differnt than any typical night at wal-mart but i am not lined up beside anyone at wal-mart running 100+ mph. Wink

I know i am outnumbered on this, so i will shut up now Tongue

and to "clean your closet" its not like DCI heard a rumor somewhere and rushed to tell everyone. It was on the news. Not a secret

2 kids and a wife that is what in my house.(dog stays in the yard) Roll Eyes

I was not "spreading dirt" I saw the news report...looked it up online to see what else it said and posted it because I would hate to see a track that I have supported, both by racing there(my entire life) and spending my sponsorship dollars at, get hurt or shut down over this type of activity. I was hoping that it was not as serious as the news made it out to be and thought that maybe, just maybe, someone on here had more information....do you believe everything you see on the news???

Sorry if I offended anyone by posting a link to a news story.
