While I read and hear on the news actions being taken upon parents who are beginning to take more interest in their children, I am reminded of our right to vote. Schools exist based upon our taxes.
While I want all to be protected and safe, a lesson we need to teach the next generations, I feel parents have an obligation to speak up for their children. Teachers Unions are their to protect their clients, I see that. However, parents are their to protect our children. While not being violent, their voice can be still exhibited at the polls. Let the schools know the next time they want a "bond issue" passed, who is the boss, the parent (taxpayer). We can wake them up without violence. As one of our previous Presidents said " we have a pen" to express our views in a non violent confrontational way. Vote before that is taken away.

Remember too that when your kid graduates, it doesn't mean you have lost your voice. If you pay taxes, then you have the right to speak up.
In fact, it's often more difficult to speak up when your kid could be subject to retaliation from teachers who may disagree with your stand.

Teacher unions are dying and they are scared of losing their influence. Both of my kids and daughter in law are teachers. All have indicated that teachers are dropping their membership for various reasons, union political stance, lack of support from union and the high dues. On top of that teachers are leaving the profession at an alarming rate for a variety of reasons. The teacher shortage is a real and present danger as many school systems are so understaffed that unqualified persons are now being used as teachers. If you know a teacher ask them about how their day goes, it will scare the bejeebers out of you. My kids will not send their children to public schools due to all the negative issues, social justice indoctrination, lack of discipline and lack of school board/administration support. Teaching is a noble profession that takes a special kind of person. That being said, 2 of the three referenced here are searching out alternative career paths, not for the money but the poor conditions under which they are subject to. The principle of one of the schools does not even send his child to public school choosing instead a private institution, now that's a shocking indictment of the system. School boards have become to politicized, cowered by the teachers union and just plain arrogant. They should be voted out.

I wonder how much he!! would have been raised if that guy arrested up in VA had been black? thats not meant to be racist, just wondering.
I was fortunate enough to send my kids to private school and the results prove it was money well spent. Unions out lived their purpose years ago in most professions and are now only a paycheck for the leaders.

Much has been mentioned of children being sent to "private" schools. I can see where our whole educational system can be changing. With virtual schools, private schools, and frustration with teachers and their unions. The days us older one experienced in the neighbohood brick and mortar buildings may cease to exist. I have told several of my friends in education that even the way of instruction has changed. These children now have a different learning pattern than we had, given the technology they possess. Curious to see how this proceeds in the future. At least some of us can count change back without reading the numbers on a screen.

Counting change? I recently bought something in a local chain store and the cashier had to get help making change when I paid with cash.

At least the kid is working. Kids make mistakes, but parents that exempt their kids from working are making a bigger mistake.

7 of my grandkids are home schooled now. Wouldn't be surprised if 3-5 more of them are soon.

Reagan vowed to do away with the US Department of Education as a few may remember, he failed of course but a whistle blower he originally hired to investigate it, came about.

If ya wanna know all about the public fool system, look into Charlotte Iserbyt.

The public fool system is why there are very few individuals who can think their way out of a wet paper bag.

Charlotte spills the beans on how they did it, who designed it, and much more darker sides.

It ain't about educating, but just the opposite.

She has a book ... The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America on Amazon, all about everything we're seeing today.

Book is probably 20-25 years old.

Our five grandchildren are Home schooled, they are not even allowed on Public School property. The Biden Administration wants to charge the parents as Terrorists for refusing to submit their children to "Indoctrination Classes ". In an earlier post I stated that the Biden Administration was no longer interested in you, they are focused on brain washing your children.

Welcome to the "New AmeriKa" controlled by Communist Anti American Legislatures.

Be prepared for Stalag Prisons to emerge for Parents who object.

I used to believe that until I was informed by the county commission in Bell County, TX informed the voters they didn't need our permission to procure a bond.

Over several years they tried to get a bond to build a new Expo Center their justification was the roof need to be replaced.
after the second time the bond was voted down they announced they didn't need our approval and could do it anyway.
They ended up just repairing/replacing the roof though. The did however build a new Bell County jail complex.. Instead of modernizing the old jail..

So do not think the threat of voting them out will always work.. They are an arrogant bunch..

It is not just the Teachers Unions who are in trouble. all Unions have went against it's members wishes and are losing power. When they give MILLIONS of your Dues dollars to Democrats and sell out to the company then it is hard to support them. Not all sell out to the Company but all Unions give your money to Democrats.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

Look at who is on the school boards around you. Many of them have no kids in the school district, and/or never had one in the district.

These are people wanting a title of elected office for their resume, and don't give a crap about the job they do.

Research who these people are
