Bob Harris started the Thanksgiving Tradition of the $20,000 Footbrake race at Piedmont Dragway in 2003. Anthony Walton started the Fall Footbrake Frenzy in 2009 at Coastal Plains. When the 20K went away in 2010, Walton and Michael Beard teamed up to bring it back. In 2011, the Fall Footbrake Frenzy III was moved to Thanksgiving weekend, and the 20K Footbrake Tradition was reborn... and with it, Loose Rocker Promotions was born. We set out to give racers the kind of races that *we* wanted to race in.

An incredible 358 entries competed at the ATI Performance Products Fall Footbrake Frenzy IX last year, making it the biggest Footbrake race of 2017. This is what teamwork looks like! Due to your ever-growing support, we've raised the purse several times over the years. For 2018, we've made the 5K-20K-5K into a 10K-20K-10K for THE SAME $380/Weekend Entry! We're on-pace to pay out about $40,000 more than the FFF III in 2012! It's all because of your support.

YOU made it happen. Thank you!

Last year, Jesse Betterton scooped up the Sunday FAT $5K win. Temperatures had fallen into the 30's, yet it was two 5-second cars in the finals. Kevin Pollard turned it red to hand the win to Betteron, but both drivers ran dead-on the dial!

This year, the Friday and Sunday champions will battle for $10,000 instead of $5K!

ATI FALL FOOTBRAKE X SCHEDULE

We are going to proceed with racing this weekend, with a two-fold plan in mind:

Plan A: We will run two $20K's, the first utilizing Friday-Saturday as we are able, and the second $20K on Sunday. We would be looking at about a 12 Noon start on Friday. If conditions prove to be unraceable on Friday-Saturday, we will go to Plan B.

Plan B: If we are unable to race Friday-Saturday, we will run for $40,000 to Win on Sunday.

They said it couldn't be done.

The ATI Fall Footbrake Frenzy X Friday $20K wrapped up with the slowest car on the property taking the win over the second fastest car in the final round after hours of mid 30-degree temps. Hot Rod Rodney Finchum took his biggest career win over a red-lighting Kevin Pollard in the finals. Kurt Holland was the lone semifinalist. Also notably, the two fastest cars on the property squared off in the quarterfinals, with Pollard stopping Chris Plott in a super tight race, just another testimony to the Piedmont staff and the top-notch machines driven by some of the very best in the sport.

Quarterfinal action Friday night at 34 degrees, between the two fastest cars on the property!

Racers converged on Piedmont Dragway from numerous states just for one last shot at $20,000 on a beautiful Sunday for the ATI Performance Products Fall Footbrake Frenzy X. After completing a very cold Friday $20K "Warmup", and losing an entire Saturday to rain, racers' patience was rewarded with a great Sunday finale. The ranks swelled to 243 entries despite the weather-induced schedule changes.

2017 Champion Nick Hastings backed up his title this year, stopping third generation youngster Jason McCandless in the finals. It was Hastings' second victory of the year, following the ATI BIGFOOT $40K in April, making Hastings the winningest driver in Loose Rocker history, with five.

Hastings defeated Don Baugher in the semis, while Mccandless advanced to the finals via an earned bye run.

Great seeing you Fern! Thanks for coming out.

The people are what it's really all about.

Soggy Dunn, Tim Douglas, Joe Theodore, Rodney Finchum, Big Ern

Adam Vanderslice won the commemorative event cornhole set with the Best Losing Package of Round 5. He also took home a big Summit Racing Equipment prize package for having the second best package of the day, .007 (the first of several .007 packages from drivers throughout the day!)

The best package of the day came within the first fifteen pair, when Maryland's Tony Mattera laid down a PERFECT RUN to win a new converter from Abruzzi.

Recently engaged Randy Biddle, Jr. made it down for Sunday's race to wheel Dave Stebner's community rent-a-ride Duster.
