Thanks to YOU, we've had a GREAT year at Loose Rocker events, and we're looking forward to rounding out the season at Piedmont Dragway with two of our favorite events - our 10K/20K/10K specialty events, one just for Top ET Doorcars (and left-steer roadsters) and the Thanksgiving Tradition just for Footbrake!

- There's *NO* Pre-Entry! Everything is "pay-at-the-gate"!

- Win 4th Round in Saturday's $20K main event and earn more than the ENTIRE 10K/20K/10K $380 Weekend Entry -- now that's affordable big money bracket racing!

- Weekend Entry tech cards go into a year-end drawing for a chance to win a 28' Vintage Outlaw trailer from Walton Trailer Sales, a $2,500 Gift Certificate good toward a set of Trick Flow Cylinder Heads, or Loose Rocker Gold Cards! (Do not have to be present to win!)

Schedule possibilities just to give you folks some certainty, to know what to expect, based on how the weather forecast shakes out by Thursday...

If the forecast clears up, then it's business as usual. If the forecast stays at a high chance of rain all day Saturday, then we will run for $20K Friday, $20K Sunday. More details in the attached graphic.

Either way, Friday's temps look AMAZING, so it's going to be a GREAT way to kick off the weekend! See you all soon!

Based on the consistent prediction from multiple weather services for rain all day on Saturday, and in the interest of giving racers a chance to plan their weekend accordingly, we are going to move ahead with Plan B:

We will run for $20K Friday and $20K Sunday. All payouts, entry, etc. will be the same as the 20K format on the flyer, with the exception of the R/U would be raised to $6,000. Same $380/Weekend entry, $230 Single Day, $150 Re-Entry, $200 Round Money, etc.

There has been a steady stream of trailers rolling in. We have a BEAUTIFUL day on tap for Friday. Looking forward to an awesome day of racing, and awarding those Big Checks and the Loose Rocker Eagle trophy! Gates will be open all night. Tech cards and crew/spectator wristbands will be sold at the main gate starting at 8 a.m.

Former IHRA World Champion, Glenn Ferguson, outlasted a stout field and the challenge of Loose Rocker's most prolific top bulb performer, Shawn Carpenter, in the final round. Ferguson used a reaction time advantage to shut the door on Carpenter's dead 0 effort to earn the $20,000 Big Check and Eagle trophy on the first day of the Racer Tees American Doorslammer Nationals presented by McCarty Auto Parts. Richard Alford and David Stebner were the semifinalists.

With rain imminent throughout the day on Saturday, there will be no on-track activities. We'll return to action on SUNDAY with another $20,000 to win race. There will be a time run at Noon for new car & driver entries only, followed immediately by Round 1 of eliminations. Single day entry: $230 Double-enter: $380. Re-entry $150.

$20,000/Win
$6,000/RU
$2,000/semi
$800 Rnd 6 Win
$600 Rnd 5 Win
$400 Rnd 4 Win
$200 Rnd 3 Win

Chris Scarlata and Ben Haight put on a show in the Abruzzi/Summit $20K Finale at the Racer Tees American Doorslammer Nationals presented by McCarty Auto Parts, remaining double-entered in a shared ride, Haight's Camaro, until the semifinals. Tim Thomas stopped Haight in the semis to deny the team final. Scarlata pushed out Clayton Roberts' 5.0-sec rocketship in the other semifinal matchup. In the finals, Scarlata took the win light over Thomas to hoist the Loose Rocker Eagle trophy and the pair of Big Checks from stacking the $10K events due to losing Saturday to rain.

Did Tim Thomas say what happened in the final round? He had some sort of issue and was off his dial by 3 tenths. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.
