Next week is Farmington's Footbrake Nationals. (Sunday November 15th). The Saturday before they are having a Warm Up Race and a Champions Showdown.

The Showdown is open to anyone who has done one of the following:

1.) Won an IHRA/NHRA World, Divisional or Bracket Championship.

2.) Won a Weekly Track Championship

3.) Won a Farmington Foot Brake Nationals

The winner will receive an entry into Piedmont's Thanksgiving race, a weekend pass valued at $300, plus a trophy, and jacket from MJ Printing. All participants receive a decal and a shirt.

Here's the thing - you can't enter this race the day of, you have to sign up prior by either calling Mark Joyce at (336) 480-8481 or emailing him at mjcustomprinting@earthlink.net .

That's a good question, wonder if it's a weekly championship in Footbrake only or if it could be in Top Eliminator too? Hmmm...I'll try finding out.

I missed the 'top elim' part, good question Mike

Mark just replied to my email I sent yesterday and this race is open to any champion - Top Eliminator, Footbrake or Junior Dragsters. For example, Tesz Powell won Farmington's Junior Dragster Championship several years ago so he is eligible to run in this race. Mike Hawks would be eligible too since he won Top Eliminator championship.

Should be a really interesting race - looking forward to it. If you're eligible give Mark a call or email him.

i told him he is a big wussss without that box in his car but im real sad to say i wont be in that race unless i did win an iron man at wilksboro last year does that count but anyway there will be other races that day

Heard Yesterday that Motels Rooms were very hard to find for that weekend dont know whats happening down there that weekend but will call Monday and see and also are they having a test and tune Friday Night.

Qaulity Inn in Mocksville had rooms as of friday. $55 per night with the Farmington discount. Super 8 and Village Inn were all booked up in Clemmons.

We will do Friday night Testing if weather permits.

I heard the SLICK RICK from Ohio could be on the FARM.
