Rules, what rules? Not worth the paper it's printed on. This isn't the first time. The little SA Making a comment on the team that bought all new Harley's for the team. So called apology is clearly bogus and self serving. That incident is and was no less than assault period and should be subject to an arrest. Oh, but Daddy will save me. No worry, next time I'll just turn on the discovery channel and watch fista-cuff fighting with helmets on.

As per their 501C(6) filing. Non for profit. lol

Part 1, line 1

TO IMPROVE BUSINESS CONDITIONS IN THE SPORT OF DRAG RACING AND IN THE HOT ROD INDUSTRY, AND PROMOTE AND ADVANCE THE COMMON BUSINESS INTERESTS OF THOSE ENGAGED IN THE SPORT OF DRAG RACING AND THE HOT ROD INDUSTRY, TO PROMOTE SAFETY, SPORTSMANSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP AND EXCHANGE OF KNOWLEDGE AND INFORMATION AMONG HOT ROD ENTHUSIASTS, AND TO CARRY ON THE ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE PURVIEW OF SECTION 501(C)(6) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF 1986, AS AMENDED, AND CALIFORNIA REVENUE AND TAXATION SECTION 23701

SAFETY, SPORTSMANSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP.....

Doug is a class act and exemplifies good sportsmanship regardless of his financial situation. That's the difference between some of the younger entitled racers today.

I don’t know much about Steve. What have you seen that shows his entitlement or differentiates him from Doug?

I only know what I see on TV. I've never seen Doug cry or throw a fit when he lost. I have seen Steve give some less than flattering interviews that come off as someone used to getting what he wants and unhappy when he doesn't.

Just curious, I wonder if Ferre said anything to Steve to provoke him to push him away.

That was my thought, but there was no audio to prove it.

Shook his hand then threw first punch. A gay little sissy punch for sure but still the first contact. He11, he ran backwards with more force than his punch had.....
The wh0res at NHRA aren't going to kick a high dollar 2-car team out of bed......

Maybe Popeye's promised a chicken sandwich to the winner, is the reason Torrence was so angry Ferre took a shot at the tree?

Had the officials taken control and enforced rule (1.3.1) directly at the time of the incident it may have changed the points outcome of a championship race. That surely would have had a negative effect for one (driver) member of the two car team that violated the rules of conduct. Instead, the lack of enforcement at the time of violation resulted in the offender becoming class champion while a member of a long time, multi-car team fell just 3 points short of that championship, while not violating any rules that day, at that event...

This is an ugly outcome...

To me it is not a big deal Steve did it and I also would not have had a problem with Cameron tearing him up over it.
If you can dish it out you better be able to stand up and take it.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

$25,000 fine...yikes! I think biggest ever? Whit Bazemore got a $5,000 fine in Phoenix 10 years ago for hitting a security guard. NHRA should spend it on the PITS in Pomona, especially the return roads . H#ll my pit bike bottomed out going to the lanes.

NHRA is a joke. 25k? please....

Lets see, $500k to win championship, less 25k for punching someone, or what it should have been.. No Points for Finals, 3rd in the world, 50k purse..... Embarrassing.
