the people you speak of paid because the have character and did the right thing.
i calmly approached the two dudes to find out what happened and quickly realized i was trying to have a conversation with idiots who had no intention of accepting responsibility or helping me fix my car. so after this became apparent to me i did what i thought was right.

You can't go through all your life dodging double wides (white trash).

You're only making it worse for those who come behind you.

It ain't American.

I think that maybe people will say whatever on a computer about a situation, but when they are in that situation in real life, things may not be so simple.

We had a guy who decided he didn't wanna pay for damages he caused, we didn't turn to violence.

You keep leading this conversation into violence, why?

Sorry about your luck, i know this doesn't help with this incident, but you may want to look into some racecar insurance. Most of us have a small fortune investment in our cars, parts and trailer. A policy like this would help take some of the sting out of an event like that. I think mine is around 70 bucks a month and it covers car, trailer, tools and spare parts everywhere except going down the track under power. This includes the pits and return road. Something to consider.

Snow Ball to Hell.

It appears that you were calling for violence with this reply.

I wasn't calling for violence, I was just saying that Pauley handled the situation as good as he could. There is no sense in arguing with an idiot or with someone that acts like they want violence in response.

Typically compensation isn't made the night/day of the incident.

It usually takes a couple conversations.

I'm not suggesting violence or anything I haven't already done.

If you just walk away and call the other side idiots because you're dodging double wides (white trash), it sets a bad precedent for everyone who follows.

The side responsible for damages aren't held accountable, this is not rocket science to understand.

You are right, EP. The car is beautiful. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

So "right" is when another racer plows into your new car and then tells you to Fok off about the damages, and you do?

That's the new right eh?

Wow!!

Sounds like more upside down clown world to me.

3. With a sea of cars in the lanes, oil downs, breakage, crashes and limited staff to control those that think it’s a round round course that exit the track then get right back in the lane that is being pulled, you’d be lucky to get 3 passes in over 8 hours.

Dead on with a zero.I can count on one hand how many passes that I made on a test and tune night in the last 20 years. You described exactly what shows up on those nights.I now use non points events for test and tunes.

I'm not speaking for our track, but giving my opinion on Las Vegas Motor Speedways/The Strip Test & Tunes. We have 2 different types of T&Ts, Brackets/JR T&Ts & Open T&Ts. I usually use neither, but this past weekend I used the Open T&T. Below is examples of our Bracket/JR T&T:

1. Our track is prepped like the points races.
2. The clientele is Bracket/JR members
3. No sea of cars in the lanes & organized/ran very similar to the points races.

Now, with that being said. I did run the open T&T this past weekend & found the same 3 examples above. Our track is managed very well & we appreciate that!

Our track also has 8-10 midnight mayhems for street cars & wannabe street outlaws to do what they do. This helps them from drifting into the open T&Ts!

There are bullies no matter where you go.

It's in all our best interest the OP isn't bullied into paying to fix his own car.

You had your big opportunity to show evidence of that happening recently, you failed... again.

The OP is a grown man and entitled to handle it however he sees fit. He's obviously successful in life to be able to afford such a nice race car, so I imagine he has a proven track record of good decision making. I wasn't there - neither were you.

One thing you can bet on, he won't let the two idiots live rent free inside his head for the next 5 years or more. The OP will still be a winner in life, the low-lifes who ran into him will always be low-life, low-rent losers.
