Looking for good source for aluminum bar stock. Searching on eBay and found lots but would like to find a source that has a better selection. Need to buy pieces, not a full bar.

I've used both McMasterCar and Metal Supermarkets with very good results. Fast shipping too. Metal supermarkets will cut to any size you want as well.

Aircraft Spruce is where I buy most of my small quantities of metal.

I'm not sure if they go all the way to NC but I buy all of my aluminum from Eastern Metal Supply down here. Great service and delivery.

From my experience, I had to buy a whole length 8',20', etc/), then they would cut what I need and give me the leftover piece. If you can find someone who does piecework, great,

I buy steel and aluminum from here

https://www.shopjfi.com/

They are local to me, so wouldn't know about shipping.

Cool

Might want to try chassis shop in Michigan. I think that sometimes they have small pieces of varying material they sell as a drop box.

I buy some stuff from alro. Actually about 15 miles/ They do not have piece mill stuff. You can get full sheets and maybe full bars. Hard to shelve 90% of 200 or 300 piec e till you might need it.

I meant to have the smaller piece thing as part of OP. Mind ahead of typing thing and just left it out.

Our metal supplier only sells full lengths which is anywhere from 20 to 24 foot long.

McMaster is very convenient but not always the cheapest source for small lengths.

Another place to look is eBay. Many machine shops will sell their “drops” at pretty decent prices.
