Interested to see if there are any non partisan credit card companies to consider. We use ours for online purchases and gas pay at the pump at times. Interest rate isn't really a concern. Our Sam's card was slick because it gets you in the door, and you can use it to pay there and other places. But BOA has gone full Virtue Signalling recently and I can do without that.

I only have one credit card and haven't used it in years. Therefore, I use my debit card or cash all the time.

I use a Chase Southwest card for everything in my business and personal. Earn miles to fly and I spend enough each year for my wife to have a companion pass which means she flys free with me..

I use my debit card for a lot. But I'm just a little less comfortable with online purchases. Maybe I shouldn't be.

I'm hardly one to give advise, but I would say erring on the side of safety would be a hard position to argue with. I'm probably kidding myself but I always reject the offer to "save my card info" so it's faster to check out the next time. Hopefully someone with knowledge will chime in, maybe I'll learn something, but so far (many years) so good. Come to think of it I've had free monitoring service due to information breeches but never saw any repercussions.

I set up my cards (1 business, 1 personal) with alerts so that it sends me a text whenever there's a transaction. If there's ever a transaction that I didn't make, I'll know about it ASAP. There are other safeguards you can put in place as well, like transaction limits, etc.

Sam's Club MC, use it for everything including cellphone, car insurance, online, whatever. Free money every month and have never paid a finance charge. Plus I get a free membership with it with how much I spend in Sam's. Can't tell you the last time I've used my debit card.

I purchase just about everything on my Cabela's CC. Pay it off every Friday. I have had 1,000s of points at a time, and haven't paid a dime in interest. I have almost 300,000 points with my favorite motel (which I pay for with my Cabel's CC). I write off my motel stays, and use the points when I'm off. Double win.

I also get notifications on every purchase. My wife doesn't like it, but she's getting used to it.

That's the one I have already, and I believe that is issued by Bank of America. Looking for other options. When they virtue signal by donating sizable money to what has become a terrorist organization, it's time to look at other options.

Sams Club card in Synchrony bank. We used three cards. The aforementioned Sams, Chase Southwest Card for miles and we also have an Amex card that pays us points and comes with many perks like access to Amex Lounges when we travel. It also usually pays us enough to buy everyone Christmas gifts each year.

I agree with Mark in part. Cash back because I would never end up using points enough to make it worth my while. 1.5% from Capital One, although I don't switch around.

I have three cards.

Marriott Visa - have had since I became an adult and started living in hotels
Apple Card - got it last year thinking it would allow the use of Apple Cash.. I was wrong
Company Credit card - used for all business and travel related expense. Luckily this is no longer an Amex product. Not well received around the world. Have been stuck paying out of Pocket or with personal card in several countries when we use to use AMex.

The Marriott card has been good to me, but I have more hotel points than I ever care to use for either Marriott or Hilton (Airline miles too for that matter). Will probably transtion over to the Fidelity card at some point and just throw the cash back into the brokerage account.
