California is full of sheep and welfare recipients that don't want to take a chance on losing their meal ticket.

Flew over this coming back from California Monday. I believe it was just into Colorado. Looks like it was just getting started good.

Luck? a moving van out of that state would be my luck. My brother lived there 20+ years but he and wife had enough of 1000 Oaks and headed back to Texas.

Started last year when Honda pulled out of Ca citing they could not meet the out of sight standards. Yamaha doing the same.
Ca is out of control trying to be the climate leader and cannot control their own burning yard! Btw, that’s pollution !!

We have an idiot for a governor that would rather piss away our tax dollars on a train to no where that will never be finished instead of trying to build some water infrastructure and do any forest management.

On a side note, all these fires, including the ones here in Colorado are from very poor forest management. The left and environmentalists are to blame for this, like it or not. If they let the forest service and logging companies go in and remove the beetle kill, dead woods, and mitigate the hazards, you'd see not only a lot less of this, but a lot less severe when it does happen....there is a simple fix but until it's addressed this will continue. Our congresswoman from here introduced a bill to address exactly that. Keeping fingers crossed that it gets passed.

You are absolutely right and there is something else few want to admit.

We are not getting any more rain than normal yet they are talking these 100 year floods and Climate Change. You know why we have more flooding? Really simple we have cut down huge forests and put concrete everywhere. Trees and grass absorb much of the water, concrete does not. Also heat is same thing. You can walk barefoot on grass and not get burned. Try that on Texas asphalt. The trees provide shade and absorb water while creating oxygen.

With the pine trees that is the way nature does it. They drop millions of needles highly flammable and pine cones that do not open up until a fire. At some point the trees will burn due to lightning or something and then they drop the seeds and start over. That is the way Nature intended it. There are things they can do to help but you can not stop it.

I do not like that they do not want to cut the dead trees, underbrush or manage the forest yet want to blame it on us when it catches fire.

The whole "Global Warming / Climate Change BS" is about controlling us and taking our money and nothing to do with environment at all. Do you think any of them are giving up their private jets? Or cars?

Same with Gun control, they want us to give up ours but have no intention of giving up theirs or their body guards.

Now if you have a house in piney country you may want to keep area around your house clean and clear of those trees and needles.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.
