Tragic loss and much too young. I have never met him but those who did said he was really good kid.

I hope we learn what happened and can maybe prevent it from happening again. I hope that does not sound bad but we all need to learn and be careful.

I am a firm believer in things like multiple throttle return springs because if they break it goes wide open. Things like know what to do in an emergency. What if a rock or something sticks in throttle blades? Can you get it shut down under power? Kill ignition, cut fuel, throw out parachute, if that does not do it push it up in neutral and let motor go. Hope rev limiter stops it but even if it blows motor better than crashing car. Be able to do it in a fire at night and at 150 MPH.
ALWAYS RUN A DIAPER! Wear your safety equipment.

I have no idea what happened and will not speculate but I do hope we learn what happened and can prevent it from happening again.

May he Rest In Peace and his family find consolation.

"Dunning-Kruger Effect"
-a type of Cognitive bias where people with little expertise or ability assume they have superior expertise or ability. This overestimation occurs as a result of the fact that they do not have enough knowledge to know they don't have enough knowledge.

Before you argue with someone ask yourself, "Is this person mentally mature enough to grasp the concept of a different perspective?" If not there is no point to argue.

As curly mentioned, I just want to know if whatever happened can be resolved/mitigated by some sort of safety device.

Thank You
