In the report, Schumacher and his Maynard Family Racing team was penalized for two safety problems. The first one was fined for $10,000 as two disabled safety systems were found on the dragster. An additional $10,000 fine for bypassing a performance restriction device totaling $20,000 in fines. Probably forgot to plug something in during between round thrashing. They're not used to going rounds this year.

Agree probably overlooked. The 50 points hurt them more than 20k. Ka;itta told us 3 years ago its 10k per passif you do not break anything. So what is 20k in big picture for fuel team?

On the TV show they said they went up there with no electronics after the car would not start in the pits. From what I gather all the electro motion safety systems were disabled as was the rev limiter. Dont think they planed on turning on the win light but Josh Hart knocked the tire off instantly and Tony made it to about 1/2 track and got the win light.

I dont get them fining Tony since it was the crew chiefs responsibility not his.

Same with Jim Campbell getting fined $2500 for his chutes falling off the car when he deployed them. He didnt mount them to the car lol

Crew chief is responsible for everything on the car and what the crew does. Owner is responsible for crew chief he hired. Driver owner or not is the one competing in a car with illegal set up or parts whatever it may be and he is one blame is going to name wise.

Not that I disagree with point. Besides NHRA has to get money somewhere.
