The TRUTH and the FACTS are most of the regular posters here respect my knowledge, my accomplishments and appreciate my willingness to offer advice and opinion and ALL of the regular posters here read my replies and topics! Proof is that many of my threads are the most viewed and my Trailer thread is in fact the most view thread in Tech Talk of all time! That said, this message board has maybe a fraction, 1/10000 of 1% of the whole world's population having posted here at some time and far less daily so STFU with your stupid statements!

Nah! It's because you are a dyck with a little man attitude. But if it makes you feel better, go on believing it's the other stuff. Whatever keeps ya going.

Rock Auto is fine till you have a problem or have to return something. Try getting them on the phone, oh wait you can’t because they don’t have a phone number. I have a parts deal with uni select and I still have to haggle with them. You would think they would just give a 40 year customer the best price but they don’t. I use RA’s prices to get better prices from my supplier but only buy if it’s absolutely necessary.

You have claimed to be an engineer. But what I see is a complete lack of any innovation from you ever. You regurgitate what others have said. You use cookie cutter combinations and pay others to build them for you. You hang your hat on your trailer being some sort of accomplishment. But really it's a compilation of check boxes on the manufacturer's form and them designing it for you. Your abilities and successes go only as far as your credit card can take you by itself. You are a keyboard engineer at best. And you delight in pointing out someone else's typo like it enhances you.....right before you do the same thing. LOL. Plus, you have zero accomplishments behind the wheel yourself. I'm not sure how you even accomplish to pay the credit cards, but I suspect that has a lot to do with the efforts and innovation of others as well, and simply being handed to you by the looks of things. Meanwhile, others with educations or without, are out there actually making things with their hands, by designs from their own heads.

Then you have the poor sense to threaten others who call you out online, with some sort of Punisher physical revenge. Everybody knows what you look like and what you are likely capable of. But you have no idea what those who you are threatening are capable of. Writing checks you just hope to never have to cash. To what end? Are you really going to attack someone for saying something to you? Leave them with a bruised midsection or however high you can reach? That's your reaction? That's what you have to offer as an adult? And you think it is worth it for somebody to somehow seek you out because you got under their skin online or you won some online argument? LOL. It's the internet man! Nobody cares about you.

You have gotten yourself thrown out of most of the racing boards for being an outright prick. And you bring this on unprovoked most times with insults to others. And claiming that you are somehow more financially capable than they are, for which there is no proof....nor will there ever be any.
I pity you Ed.

Because one day, Amazon will be the only place you can get it if you don't shop locally.

Then Amazon can decide if you need it and when you should get it. I tell my wife all the time to quit buying online unless it is the only choice because one day you'll want to go shopping and there won't be anything except empty buildings.

Ed dint get it.

I don't disagree with you there. Just making a point.

I dint say I wasn't buying local also. LOL

The irony here is that you are the one threatening violence. In what world would it be worth seeking out a nobody internet twit to give them a piece of your mind? If you were to approach me, certainly I would say whatever I please. If you took it physical, I guess we would see what would happen right? And all these ifs aren’t gonna happen and that’s why you feel safe running your mouth endlessly.
I have a very short list of hate in the world. And an internet nobody isn’t making that list. If you are speaking of envy,…if I were driven by envy (and I’m not) you wouldn’t make the list. Every race that all of us go to we can see much nicer tow vehicles, trailers and race cars than what you boast about. Owned by decent people with more racing success than you have. Why would I envy a keyboard tough guy? Nobody does. I know you seek that but nobody envy’s you Ed. You are nothing more than an annoyance on the internet.
I mean really…just grow up.

Wrong on all points! and I'm telling you and the few other big mouths here that hide behind their keyboard to grow a set of balls and say it to my face which you/they will never do! Meanwhile, I'm easy to find, every weekend during the season at tracks east of the Mississippi. I ain't hiding!

the vast majority of parts stores no longer carry small parts inventory unless it is a old school store. plus the kid looking up your part with only the computer to guide him is no better than a online site lol

Hard to buy local when you can buy online for much, much less.

Just got done doing brakes on my wifes cars. Could have saved quite a bit had I ordered online from Rockauto. Same brand parts for 60% of the price. Even with shipping and no discount codes, I would have saved a bunch of money. I paid more for the convenience because I needed them now not 3-4 days from now.

That’s what has boiled down to for me. What am I getting for the extra I spend to purchase locally? Better quality? Helpful and knowledgeable staff? Parts immediately available in stock? If their bread and butter is supplying the local repair shops, I shouldn’t hurt them by shopping online

I buy chemicals, cleaning products and generic parts either from Napa or Advance. All other parts from the dealer for my daily drivers...brakes, filters, belts, alternator, batteries, etc. and the parts I want are in stock most often and when not, I have them the next day.

this is true. i like to go go to my local store and ask the kid for an oil filter for a small block chevy and he fires up his computer and says what year is the vehicle. for fun i say pick a year they are all the same.

ep- i miss the old school parts guys who knew what the part is, what it does and where it is in the store.

We have an old school speed shop in Tulsa that has been there since 1968. The owner gives lots of money to the track for advertising each year and the track has said he is the longest continual advertiser in NHRA history. I can't confirm this myself but they have said it many times. Lately he has been adding money to some gambler's races we have had. I buy as much from him as I can. Just talked to him Monday about new slicks.

The owner just turned 80 I believe over the weekend and although he is in great shape and is in the store every day, time is not on his side. He still runs nostalgia A-fuel and AA-fuel dragsters in the NHRA Heritage series but has slowed because he can't find people to help and his crew chief who he raced with for many, many years passed a couple years ago.

I try to buy from NAPA as much as I can. The one I did most trading with was owned by a local racer. He retired. The NAPA I deal with is locally owned and the counter girl is pretty good.

I don't consider the chains like Advance or Auto Zone local.
