My last two were V10 Ford’s and I think they do fine. High rpm motors so you have to get use to that but good HP for gas rv

You may consider a super C with the 8.1.
If you look around you can find one occasionally at a fair price. We have 2 of them and they work very well. Use to have a 2.9 cummins class a pusher and the super c will probably out pull it on the hills. They also have 10000 pound hitches with a little heavy chassis than the class a gas rv. The maintenance on them is much easier the the pushers.
