I'd be fine with them prepping only half as much honestly. I think the racing would be better. No more practice tree races.

This is from the US 41 Facebook page.

Some may know. Some may not. The reality of a Glue Shortage is true and it’s here. We started the year with our normal glue purchase with a reorder usually mid June and mid august. Only to find out we can no longer get it at that time. We’ve tried tracking across the country to locate some with no avail. Tracks all across the country are in this same position. And Unf there is no relief in site as to when or if they will make more of the Vp lc-7. Or the PJ1.
We’ve tried other products that are in limited supply like renegade and others and just cannot get it to work. We’ve been in talks with reps. Track prep guys and others and just cannot seem to find an answer.
So. Here’s we’re we are at. We got just enough lc-7 and a very little supply of Pj left to basically get through another month. Maybe 6 weeks if we run the schedule as posted with tnt, events and track rentals.

Well that shot that in the Azz for a couple of tests. I wonder if RT 66 is going to have the same issue for the divisional in August. One time deal is what is happening there in august.

I wouldn't even attempt to to try it there with out it. Gets loose real quick there between the 800 and beyond. Know all about it.

Here is the rest of the US 41 post:

Unfortunately effective this Sunday. We will move to a one Tnt a month schedule and will announce that day. And we will only have track rentals for no prep.
We are now officially only running 1/8 mile for the rest of the season. (Exc the AREA 41 nostaglic race will be ran 1/4). This is for all events. All classes. Any tnt. As this will help us minimize the glue usage. The track will be sprayed. And we will prep to best we can. But. Please understand there will be times we may not continue to spray or times of rain days we’re we would normal dry the track and respray. We may not respray those times.
Unf times are tough. We want to do the best we can and give you guys a great surface to race on, but we cannot control what we can’t get.
If you have any questions you may contact me directly by phone Or messenger.

Steve.

Some of the tracks around here have been using less and diluting it more and it shows. They simply can not get the stuff.

One of the guys I help has a Roadster that will usually hook in a mud puddle and he is starting to have problems. If I can get him to hook up good on poorly prepped track he will have a little advantage when things get back to normal (If they ever do)

One thing that does bother me is several have said things like "This track is junk, I am not coming back here ever." When we start losing racers then we start losing more tracks and it will only get worse from there.

But to answer your question. Yes the shortage is real and it is hurting us.

It will be interesting to see if the faster cars can keep it in their lane when/ if the prep is reduced. Hopefully no one wrecks because of this. Those with a lower SLR will be at an advantage if starting line prep conditions worsen. Possibly a good time to have Grid ignition.

Have been trying to decide which gear to get for car. Wondering if going up or going down would better. If this is the case it might just be better to go the safe route and go one step higher gear. Which just happens to be the highest price ratio I think.LOL

There are a good many ways to crutch the vehicle down the track. A few have been mentioned before along with this one. To me, it will take a combination of more than one.
