https://www.tesla.com/support/...he%20intended%20lane

quote:
Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (Beta) identifies stop signs and traffic lights and automatically slows your car to a stop upon approach while using Autopilot, with your active supervision. To enable, shift your car into PARK and tap Controls > Autopilot > Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (Beta), then engage Traffic-Aware Cruise Control or Autosteer.

When Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control (Beta) is enabled, the driving visualization displays upcoming traffic lights, stop signs or road markings at intersections where your car may need to stop. As you approach an intersection, even if the traffic light is green, your car will display a red line to indicate where the vehicle will stop and the vehicle will begin to slow. To continue through the stop line, pull the Autopilot stalk or briefly tap the accelerator pedal to confirm that it is safe to proceed. At this time, Traffic Light and Stop Sign Control does not turn the vehicle, whether you are in a turn lane or have your blinker on.

Notifications on the touchscreen will provide a stop reason (stop sign or traffic light) and will also provide an estimated distance to when your vehicle will stop. If the Traffic Light notification does not indicate a light color, your vehicle has not confirmed the traffic control state.

As with all Autopilot features, you must be in control of your vehicle, pay attention to its surroundings and be ready to take immediate action including braking. This feature is in Beta and may not stop for all traffic controls. While Traffic and Stop Sign Control is enabled on surface streets with Autosteer active, your speed will be confined to the noted limit. Please review the Owner’s Manual for additional information, instructions for use and warnings.

Someone show us how to incorporate this into bracket racing and warrant them banning EV's.

Its not a theory or a rumor. Tesla has proven they can make an automobile react to a light changing.

Rumor has it, it can be used in bracket racing.

Yet no one can show how it is done = speculation.

There are sensors that have been proven to read the tree and can be installed in any vehicle. The problem is not the capability, its whether that capability is being utilized. Currently we do not adequately monitor for such devices at all for the most part.

Over 25 years of racing and I have never been checked for anything like this or seen anyone checked.

Just switch the red bulbs and the top ambers...

The cheating Teslas will just set there on the line thinking the light is Red.... Razz

The OP who started this thread claims it is his car in the video he posted. He started this to get a conversation going about Teslas and bracket racing. He should be able to show how this technology is being used illegally in bracket racing or at least provide a link to show how its done.

We keep talking about it but noone has provided any proof.

Teslas are the new Matty Box. lol

Come on. You mean to tell me that somebody would be willing to CHEAT in an event where going TOO FAST means you lose and the most you can expect to win is maybe $100 and a plastic trophy is enough motivation? Wink Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Yes it’s real and still being used and no one cares. That said I’d rather had a tree reader.

Come on guys, don't be so naive.
You know the stuff exists.

Look at ALL the Electronics companies that make EFI systems, they ALL have "Traction Control" built in. MSD is the only one that got called out on it but all the other companies are bragging about it.

Below is a video of Holley talking about their EFI and how it incorporates "Traction Control", regulates boost, etc and can work with other traction controls if you want (Davis, etc) while some Holley systems have it built in.

Any company that has EFI systems has engine management built right in (i.e. traction Control)
How the HECK do you think those 2500 HP Street Outlaw guys get down the road.

Do you really think the NHRA Tech guys can keep up with all these different companies?

My point is you can NOT believe for 1 second that the technology of Tree Reading is not being used out there.

Another company PRO-M Traction Control.

I think some later versions used the tach instead of the lights on the dash.
Keep it on 5000 Big Grin
I'm sure todays technology is hands and tach free lol
