Need to slow down footbrake reaction time
Was consistently 55-75 red. Car has 27" tall tires on front at 24 PSI, and 32" on the rear all the way down to 8 PSI. Leaving at 1800-2000 RPM.

I know larger tires would slow the reaction some, but I don't see it getting rid of more than 20 numbers.

Any ideas on how to get rid of about 70 in the reaction? I can try to go down to 1500 leave, but might be getting into the Stumble zone.

I don't believe -.055 to -.075 is a car reaction issue that you can work out. It's a following the tree issue that needs to have the driver fixed. JMO

You are probably correct. I definitely don't claim to know what I'm doing foot braking.

Its just Odd to me that I am anticipating the tree within that close of a range. That range was 6 out of 9 test and tune runs.

Led or incandescent tree? When we still had incandescent bulbs, I was leaving when i saw yellow, was always red. I had to wait til bulb was fully lit, then I had .030/.035 lights. When the track switched to LED and I was leaving the same way, I was always late. I had to switch back to leaving as soon as I thought I see yellow. I even tried to block out the first two bulbs and concentrate on just the bottom bulb. That didnt work as well as reacting to the light coming on by following the tree.

Have you tried using a blinder?

Possibly a dark visor?
We’ve seen peoples head react to an LED brightness.

.055-.075 red? No way you're going to tune the car for that unless you create a stumble. blocking the tree might help as it slows down some and would stop you from counting or possibly anticipating.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ AGREED

You won’t be going red using a blinder to view only the bottom bulb. Works best during daylight hours, but I have used mine at night at tracks that have the tree well lighted.

If you have a practice tree put an activation switch from the pedal to the tree. Set the R.O. so you’re 050 red , then practice going green with that setting.

If none of the above help, push (much) harder on the brake pedal. Doing this with a practice tree will show it slows your RT.

Shallow stage your car on a .500 pro tree, and see what your real car-you reaction time is.You will find out your anticipating the last amber watching the tree on the full tree.I blind the tree ,have 1.55 60fts with trans brake 4,200 stall with 3.42 gears cuts low .5 lights .Dont know 60 ft. times you have ,but ft. braking the car leaves a tad slower than trans brake car.

Wish I could help, but I am really old school. I would simply wait longer. Take care. Tom Worthington

If it seems that bracket racing has gotten too expensive for you, maybe you are just doing it wrong.

Looser (lots) converter, more suspension travel, swap foot from brake to throttle.
