Ok...here's what I could gather...
Old man is GONE...he packed up and left.

here's what I gathered:

a pair went down the track...some car appeared to lock them up in the lights and blow the front tires(?)

Jeff Jackson and the old man pair up.
Jeff goes WAY under...like 10.20 or so
track says' "re-run, timing error"

...old man says "no...must have had a problem with his timers. He was way ahead of me...the lights worked fine for the pair before us...and the pair after us. The run should stand.

track says "no...RE-RUN"

old man says "F-YOU, I'm outta here"

loads his junk and bails.

that's all I could get from his life-long friend whom he called as soon as it happened.

Oh, and for the record...DAVEY is his kid...DAVE or DAVID is the old man.

Just say "old man" or "the kid"...either way...but "DAVEY" is the son

What a bunch of crap!
D6 favoring D6 cars?

The incramentals would tell the story plain as day... what was jeff's 1000', if jeff was that fast 1000' would be somethin like 9.00-9.1 ish and if he was really on a 10.90 it would be somethin like 9.80 -9.90...

Will...while what you say is true...we are in fact talking about David Adams...so...anything possible. He's a great racer...but strange things have happened to him on track as well, so...

Maybe JJ will chime in...knowing Jeff...if something was wrong...he'd come clean. Sucks for the old man if what he said was true...but we've all put the wrong numbers in before...so who knows.

All I know is...this is what the old man is saying happened.

Track says RE-RUN due to timing error...and the old man wouldn't...

No big deal, nothing new.....I was told my a D-7 Director either re-run or pack up...only because the MOV was showing .001, all other numbers were correct. A W in my lane on the slip. Problem was that run was for the D-7 7.90 Division Championship. I decided to re-run the race. Its the racers decision to either re-run or not, but either way if we agree to re-run we must agree to accept the results. Adams didn't agree, its his race car he can do as he wants.

The car locking up was true , blew both front tires of the car and destroyed two rims , was just given a warning (wow). I saw Jackson's run and the throttle stop appeared to have never come on , and he just drove out the back door with a couple wiffs of the throttle at the 1000 ft mark taking about a 15 car stripe . If I remenber right the brake locking deal and the Jackson deal were dif rounds . I heard a very dif side of the story , but I will not post it until one of the parties owns up to it , because it is so out there I will wait for them to post .

The way dragracecentral.com shows it, Dave Adams was the winner between He and JJ in the 3rd Rd. Then round 4 results show "no time" against Tucker. If a rerun was called for with JJ 3rd round and Dave said F@#K NO! then shouldnt JJ have been racing Tucker in Rd. 4?

Hey JJ...read what I wrote again, word for word.
1)"we are in fact talking about David Adams...so...anything possible. He's a great racer...but strange things have happened to him on track as well, so..."

2)"Maybe JJ will chime in...knowing Jeff...if something was wrong...he'd come clean."

3)"All I know is...this is what the old man is saying happened."

No where...and I mean NO WHERE did I EVER point a finger at you for doing anything wrong.

I even went so far as to lean towards the "...who knows, could be a Dave Adams thing"

I know you better than that. When saying "Will...while what you say is true" I was referring to the incremental times.

Like I said...this came from the old man's buddy, who(and I'll quote myself again) "that's all I could get from his life-long friend whom he called as soon as it happened."

Hope you get my drift JJ...no where did I intend to throw a stone your way...

But I'm glad you came on here and set the record straight. Smile

Old man waltzing over to you with a Coors Light in hand...THAT'S the Dave Adam's I know.

So he popped a beer after they threw him out for oiling the track? And if you oil the track does the opponent you defeated on the run you oiled the track get reinstated? Have sympathy on me I am a bit slow and need more info.
