OK, since this is "General Discussion" and I'm bored at the moment, let's talk about all these milks that are not really milk at all. You know, almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk, flax milk, etc, etc.

I'm going to say that the group of people on this forum will overwhelmingly say that real milk is the only way to go.

At least that's the way I feel. If I wanted to taste almonds (which I do like), I'd eat an almond and so on with the other fake milks......

Opinions?

Adult humans are the only Mammals that drink animal milk. Cows milk doesn’t agree with me since I became an adult. I generally avoid milk by itself. But if I want a bowl of cereal or smoothie it’s almond milk. I have noticed some almond milks suck. Not sure what the difference is

To each his own but I've never had the need to try ANY of the designer milks. But then I only eat butter and avoid the yellow lard, that's just me.

I’m a lifetime cereal morning person and 2% is what I use. My wife uses 2% Lactaid free for cooking because she’s Lactaid intolerant.

If you need to have milk taste like something other than milk, you probably use a drive thru line buying grossly overpriced Starbucks.

As a child I lived on a farm where we milked the cow we got our milk from. At about 8 years old we moved into a town where the only milk we could get was the processed kind. It made me sick and I have never drank it since. I do use it in coffee and cereal. We made our own butter and I remember the lard butter would come with a little spot of food coloring you could mix in it to make it yellow. To this day I use butter. Designer milk is a good description.

Hate the taste of it all. I put milk in cereal but the cereal has to change the taste. Just watching someone drink a glass of milk turns my stomach.

On another note I have always wondered why people who have trouble with milk but like it haven't moved to goat's milk. I was always told it's easier on your stomach. When I was a kid lots of mothers who couldn't breast feed gave goat's milk to babies.

Well as a dean of Admission to school of milk drinkers. I have had to cut back since diabetes shyt. Use t be a 1/2 to a gallon a day person. I was happy seeing cpl reports that stated whole milk is better for diabetes than 2&(88% water).

I may have told this before but hell its funny.

Harris Teeter had milk on sale one week like half price or close. We bought 4 gallons. I figured hell it will get gone so I stopped and picked up 4 more. My wife had same thought. End result we had 12 gallong in frig.
My wife is telling her star bucks group about it.One guy asked her what do you do with 12 gallons of milk. Her Answer. With my husband I go back to store in 12 days and buy more because wre out. True story.

If it does not come from a cow it is not milk period!!!

I've never had interest in trying the other milks. Regular milk from a cow is plenty good to me. Nothing better to dunk my Oreos in!

We are also the only species that cooks our dinner, refrigerates, freezes and makes milk from almonds. The old milk isn't good for you is a bunch of $h!t.
