Can anyone show me accurately the Article and Section that allows the Pay Czar to arbitrarily cut some executives pay in half?
Was this part of the original legislation on the bail outs? Did they just "decide" to change the rules after the game started? The dems are pretty good at that it seems. Where in the Constitution does it authorize any Czars at all? You'll never go wrong by doing right. Who do you call when the lawmakers ignore the law? |

Haven't you read it? It is right under the part where the US government bails out failed companies (Auto and Banks) with OUR money.

My copy doesnt have that paragraph. Is that the same part that says we have the right to kill babies? You know that equal rights thing(women can but men cant)?

It may not be constitutional, but the affected banks owe the government the money.
They gladly took the government money, have used it to the fullest to make even more money, and not loosened up credit or took care of those "toxic" assets. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/200..._obama_executive_pay _____________________________ Wes Scott Hoping Carlos doesn't find me. |

Along the same lines, we have had anti-trust laws for a long, long time. About the same difference if you ask me.

I know they owe the government money. I dont think we should have given it to them. Most of the money owed was to the Chinese. I would have liked to see them get very uncomfortable when all the loads defaulted because the banks went out of business. I would have liked to have seen GM, Ford and Chrysler go into bankrupcy. They would have survived but would have had TRUE economists look at their business practices and deleted the overhead. They would have had to become profitable or fold. JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER COMPANY IN THE US EXCEPT THE GOVERNMENT!

For years weve had a minimum wage law. If Bawney Fwank gets his way we will also have a maximum wage law. The house, senate and other government types will no doubt be exempt just like they dont seem to have to pay taxes like the rest of us.

BD I dont have an issue with the banks paying back the money. I DO have issues with unelected government "officials" making "law" on what an individual citizen can earn.
