Now it appears that Senator Cruz had a hand in ousting boner, no wonder boner called senator Cruz an a-hole a while ago. boner most likely just realized what Senator Cruz had done. Being a buckeye (worthless nut) boner is rather slow on the uptake!!!!!
Now a Republican National Committeman is calling for useless mitch to resign saying his lesderlessship has totally alienated the Republican base.
At least there is one person in the RNC that recognizes the fact of the matter!!!!!!

It's the Pope vs Republicans! Who wouldda predicted this match up?

http://theweek.com/articles/53...shas-finally-started

I'm not catholic. I don't agree with everything the Pope has to say. But man has politics become this all encompassing and polarized that republicans are now at war with the Pope?

What would you expect a man of God to say? Don't hate people because of their sexual preference. We are stewards of the Earth we call home. It is important to feed the poor and unwise to allow the rich to manipulate society and widen the wealth gap. Blasphemy! How is what he is saying not what the Bible teaches us? Is the Republican party going to become the Un-God party now?

I would expect a man of God TO not like that people are gay. I don't think he would preach that we hate them, but certainly not agree with their lifestyle.

It is in the Bible that we are to take care of the lame and sick, but those that are healthy are commanded to work for their living, not lay around on the porch smoking crack.

The United States does more for the poor around the world than the rest of the world combined, yet the Pappa thinks he should lecture us on how to care for the poor.

The Pope was a politician before he was a Pope. Still is.

About your favorite quote. Should we respect a dope dealer, where he is and how he got there?

I don't know that I can agree. Nobody says we have to condone a lifestyle. I don't. But to hate those who do participate in those lifestyles and even banish them from associating with others, just seems wrong. The Pope said nothing about agreeing with their lifestyle that I heard. More about acceptance of people for who they are. That is different.

I don't disagree that those who can help themselves, should. And we should require that of them. But it has gotten to the point where the game is fixed. Very few today break out of their class....and not for lack of trying. A very few now are making the rules and running the elections. We have never seen a time in my living history where the ultra wealthy have paid less of what they earn in taxes. Yet we have politicians stating that the wealthy need to pay LESS. Really? How has LESS taxes for the wealthy worked for the last 20 years? Have they created MORE AMERICAN JOBS? How much LESS do we need to go? Some of our country's greatest prosperity occurred when the wealthy were paying much MORE in taxes. Eventually, you reach a point in a game or competition where the leader can't be reached. Take Monopoly for instance. Eventually one player will hold all the cards and has their thumb on everyone. I don't want socialism. And don't even bring up the buzzword "income redistribution". But when the ones with the gold make the rules, eventually they will have every last bit of the gold. How far out do we want to let the leader in Monopoly get before we speak up? I'm thinking it may already be too late. All the politicians are bought and paid for today. That's the beginning of the end. The wealthy keep theirs, and force the middle class to take care of the poor. Sounds fair.

I have been amused over the years to watch the religious sect sway with the breeze of society acceptance. The bible, or any other religious writings, don't change. So how can acceptance of women, queers and other such things go from unacceptable to acceptable just because of current society popularity? Fact is religion serves the peoples whims and is bendable to satisfy their wants. Bible be damned, literal what you like, figurative when you don't.

The Pope is a typical gutless liberal!
He had a speech prepared to deliver in Philadelphia and the mayor beat him to the punch and delivered a speech glorifying queers!
The Pope waited until he was on the plane back to the Vatican before coming out and stating forcefully that marriage is one man and one woman!!!!!

About queers, we spend billions every year on aids goofballs and the queers spread aids like there is no tomorrow!!!!!

Religion...perhaps. Christ was pretty clear about accepting people. They are all God's children. Their behaviors on the other hand....

boner made another bone headed move when he brought the alleged election to a close so he could try and get some other rino to become his sacrificial scapegoat!

Donald Trump wants to round up 11 million people in two years for deportation. He approves of Russia’s incursion into Syria. He has a tax plan that adds at least $10 trillion to the debt. And with all that, he is not the most ignorant or unfit GOP presidential contender. That distinction goes to Ben Carson.

Consider this from yesterday:

Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer that the Holocaust would have been “greatly diminished” had Jewish people in Europe been armed with guns.

“I think the likelihood of Hitler being able to accomplish his goals would have been greatly diminished if the people had been armed,” Carson said. “I’m telling you there is a reason these dictatorial people take guns first.”

This follows his jaw-dropping response to the Oregon mass shooting: “I would say, hey guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me but he can’t get us all!”

The Anti-Defamation League roundly condemned his remarks. (“The small number of personal firearms available to Germany’s Jews in 1938 could in no way have stopped the totalitarian power of the Nazi German state.”)

Carson’s ignorance is not limited to the Nazis, although he continues his appalling comparisons of trends and people he dislikes to the fascist, genocidal regime.

He does not, it seems, grasp the difference between the debt limit and the budget.

He thinks “diplomacy” was an alternative to a military response to the slaughter of nearly 3,000 people on Sept, 11, 2001. (New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie retorted that “these people were out to kill us.”)

He insisted that a Muslim should not be president, only begrudgingly backpedaling to say only those intent on imposing sharia law shouldn’t hold office.

And there was this telling exchange from the first debate, which largely escaped notice:

MEGYN KELLY: You’ve suggested that the Baltic States are not a part of NATO, just months ago you were unfamiliar with the major political parties and government in Israel, and domestically, you thought Alan Greenspan had been treasury secretary instead of federal reserve chair.

Aren’t these basic mistakes, and don’t they raise legitimate questions about whether you are ready to be president?

CARSON: Well, I could take issue with — with all of those things, but we don’t have time.

But I will say, we have a debate here tonight, and we will have an opportunity to explore those areas, and I’m looking very much forward to demonstrating that, in fact, the thing that is probably most important is having a brain, and to be able to figure things out and learn things very rapidly.

(Wait. He thinks the Baltic states are not part of NATO?)

Conservatives have a dangerous habit of excusing ignorance or offensive comments so long as they come from someone attacking liberal elites. One does not need to elevate ignoramuses to cultlike status simply because they also happen to attack the media or liberal dogma. In doing so, Republicans wind up getting behind crank candidates and losing elections to mediocre candidates. (Anyone recall the “I-am-not-a-witch” Christine O’Donnell?)

There is a Chauncey Gardner-like quality to Carson. He speaks softly, smiles a lot and lulls his audience into the belief he possess great insights and wisdom. He is an esteemed neurosurgeon and a lovely dinner speaker. He is, however, entirely unfit for the presidency, seemingly oblivious to basic historical facts, constitutional concepts and world events. Surely conservative Republicans, especially some in the right-wing media who have fawned over him, should have figured this out by now. Roll Eyes
