So. Will the mortgage bill passed by the Senate reward irresposible buyers?

Another case of the President caving in to one of his cabinet members when he was originally right.
Billions of dollars in the socialist donkey bill bailing out unscrupulous lenders and speculators, apparently not so evil the donkies won't help them for campaign cash, and not much relief for the citizens being foreclosed upon!!!!!!

I can manage money. A LOT of people in this world cant'. Some of those just got bailed out. I've paid for years on end without late payments on my house note. What do I get for it? I get to PAY for A$$ Wipe down the road who 'speculated' on a house trying to ram - rod the next guy on it but it didnt happen.

How is it legal to put something unrelated in a bill? Just like they're trying to vote (or not vote) on an Energy Bill. Vote on a Solar Bill, a Wind Bill, a Nuclear Bill, an Oil Bill, etc...

I checked on the Senate website, and neither McCain nor Obama voted on the "Housing Bill". Guess no one can claim you made the wrong decision if you didn't make a decision.

I'm guessing that there are people who are going to get their mortgages reduced by more than what my total mortgage is! Is the government going "save" me, too? Nope, I was a fairly responsible borrower. Would I have been better off buying my dream log home, and then letting the taxpayers bail me out? Ridiculous.

I'm like 72 nova. I did everything I was supposed to. Got the house that fit my budget, paid my bills on time, made damn sure my family had medical coverage, and went to work every f*cking day if I wanted to or not. What was the point if some irresponsible jokers get bailed out? Hell, my house is my 401k. It's what I'll use for money when I get really old.

I mean I'm not without compassion. What normal person would be? I don't want illegal aliens here but, I'm not will to let one die at the emergency room door just because they're illegal. Same with these people getting foreclosed on. I don't want bad things to happen to them but, people have lost houses before. Things will get better. How many posters here have had things go south only to work hard and end up better than before? Lots I'd bet.
