Hearing some rumbling on Spacebook regarding Division 7 field size.

Thoughts?

That would probably eliminate a few of the Super Comp Racers in TD, especially when the summer heat rolls in at Lost Wages, Bakersfield or Phoenix.

Just my de-valued .02

Bob

ps: How's Doug?

Should be 32 cars in all divisions for a fair and equal National points system. Short 48 car fields with no bump just make it a super pro race, that's not what TD/TS is about and takes away the excitement of qualifying.

A few years ago in Vegas we had over 70 cars in TD. I didn't qualify in my Medium dragster but Shane Thompson put up money for a Turtle race with $100 entry. The payout got up there to the point guys were trying to give up there spot in the TD field to enter but NHRA said no. I lost at 3 cars and won more than if I would have won TD.

Remember when a 4.50’s car was pretty fast? Now they win big money bracket races with them

Short fields every race across the country. Hell Norwalk only had 19 TD 2 weeks ago and that's in the heart of D3.
Current cost of diesel isn't helping but car counts have been dropping steadily the past few years long before $5 a gallon diesel
