I just got a phone call from our local bank branch manager (old friends from high school).
He wanted to give me a "courtesy call".
He stated how they are NOW limiting the $$ amount people can pull out of the banks ($2500 per day).
Sh*it is starting to get real now, folks.
No food, now a run on banks.
I know MANY of our friends are NOT paying any bills (rent, mortgage, electric, gas, credit cards, etc) to keep the cash.
All because 200 people died in the US in the last 3 months.
37,000 people died LAST YEAR in the US from car accidents, that's over 100 per day but hey, we're still driving.
I say everybody do as normal, if you get it that's good because you will build up an immunity to it.
All they are doing is PROLONGING this thing for MANY MONTHS maybe years, JUST LET IT TAKE ITS COURSE and be done with it.
Can you tell I'm pizzed.

You're late to the party bro, the banks aren't well financialized, evidenced by $$$ billions in injections long before cornavirus, with ongoing repo operations.
Globalism, isn't it wonderful? My dad told me it would be, ages ago. The New World.
The media mouth is OPEN WIDE as the Leftist cry handouts as Natural Rights subside.

I really don't think there will be a run on the banks. Most people nowadays don't have a nickel on deposit.
(But they do have a nice phone.)

Good point. Most spend everything they have.

They're hiding it under their mattresses. Little do they know how it will be killed. Their brains can't comprehend exponential growth.
Bunch of damn dingle berry's hanging out oblivious of the stinking communist turd approaching - globalism. While waiting on their stimulants programs.
Yea no one has a savings acct now, that's called a credit card...
Anyone know if this guy is as much of a stroke in person as he is on here? Must be such a burden to be the most intelligent man in the room all the time.
Reason I ask is because the last guy on here that knew everything actually turned out to be much different in person and was actually quite a nice guy.
I wouldn't worry about being oblivious. There's only a couple of us in here who do understand how all this works.
You'll be able to spot them easily, because they'll be calling out the handouts for what they are, socialism.
I been saying globalism would bring us to this point for twenty years, big deal. That's just common sense.
Here's some more common sense, I know a guy who owns several commercial properties and the majority of his tenants can't meet their lease obligations this month. The guy I know is getting stressed out because he just bought a five million dollar home.
He hasn't realized yet, next month these tenants will have less money not more, in order to meet their lease obligations.
Just because I understand what he hasn't realized yet, does it mean I know everything? No, It means I have common sense.

Wake me when it's over
The tenants are now hiding the money under their mattresses for a rainy day (food).
How long will it take the commercial property owner, before he's in the same boat hiding money under the mattress?
Two, three months maybe? Because of exponential growth?

Look. I generally ignore the nonsense. But you talk about your attitude about globalism as if you are unique. Frankly that attitude is not at all unique. I knew I was voting for Trump as soon as the Trump candidate emphasized getting tough with China. No other candidate really tackled that issue. I could have been for once in my life, a single issue voter. But he had a few other items that were important to me as well.
It doesn't take a genius to live in the manufacturing midwest and know that globalism....our relationship with China in particular, is hurting our country. As an engineer, I depend on manufacturing for my livelyhood. I have closed...count them.....5 plants in my career. And every one of those closures at some level was due to free trade with China. So yes of course I get it, and preached it to deaf ears for years. I did my best to buy American, back when that was beneficial from a quality standpoint. But then things happened. The Chinese got good. They started making products that met or exceeded the quality that Americans produced. They complete ran the USA out of some markets, like TV production. And American products in many cases became lower in quality. As American businesses lowered costs everywhere they could, and American workers cared less, the bar became lower and lower. So much for that advantage of Buying American! But I hung in there. Until I woke up. I was fighting this fight alone. Very few Americans shared my view, and even fewer were willing to sacrifice their families' money to wage this war. My sacrifice did nothing. So I gave up. My family's money stretched further. And my more importantly, my government did nothing to stem the tide of money and jobs leaving our country. The only thing we exported was food, jobs and our American wealth. I completely lost faith in the Republican party, as they sat by and watched this all happen for decades, even when they had power in Congress and in the Oval Office. I realized then they didn't care about American job loss nor our national debt. I'm not fighting it alone.
A great example of parts comparison.
The Chinese took a very old turbo design from Garrett, the GT45, and copied it. The seldom fail, and work well for the level of technology that is in them. They sell on ebay and Amazon for roughly $170 each.
That same turbo from Garrett, with only minor changes to their decades old design is $2100 or more.
I have never had a chinese one fail in any way. The majority of the stuff on my race car is American made. I couldn't justify a $3900 difference in a pair of turbos. Even the Borg turbos are at least 4 times the price of the comparable china ones......and many of them are made where? China!
I don't want to hear China stuff is all junk. That's inaccurate today. Some is junk and some is quality, just like USA products. But what I do want to hear is that our Government will step up and impose trade sanctions that at very least will put American products at a place where they can compete and beat all china comparable products. I want our government to limit what types of products can be outsources anywhere in the world because Americans depend on them. Drugs, medical supplies, food. None of that stuff should come from China for important safety reasons. Shut that country down. I know millions over there will starve. But frankly common people in China have never benefited from the US buying their stuff. They just became enslaved to the government run manufacturing machine. A few got extremely rich, and those are the ones that still eat exotic animals for all sorts of weird reasons. The masses in China do not eat exotic animals. The wealthy and the ruling government of China caused this recent disease and others because they put themselves before all others. Well dammit it's time to put America first over here.
Conservatives believe in limited government. But one thing we do want is protection from foreign threats. And that protection includes economic threats from overseas IMO.
I also don't buy that banks are for sure going to collapse. Some people are panicking. Some of the measures put in place could cause a run. I think Americans need to hold hope and have confidence. This President has managed to inspire both better than any have for the last couple decades. If Americans can loosen their grip on their ME FIRST attitudes for just a while, we can all get through this without absolute disaster. If we can do that, maybe then we can focus on kicking China's a22.
Being giddy about the possibility of being right at America's expense is selfish and retarded though. Seriously just knock it off. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Bucky,

It's easy to say in hindsight globalism got us here.
It's hard to admit nothing was fixed since the 2007 economic meltdown, because you concede what Trump did long ago. That the economy is a big, fat, ugly bubble based on erratic surveys. 12 - 13 years to triple the debt. Is it really that difficult what production contrived the idea, an economy existed? Seriously?
It's not nonsense, it's fact. Anyone who has been watching it from the day Cheney claimed deficits don't matter is unique, because they understand the result we see now was always inevitable.
Hey Mike why aren't you racing? I'm too busy watching the absurdity of hyper-normalisation, while preparing for its result.

I'll tell ya something else that is common sense as well, if you think about it.
Hypothetically speaking, if the commercial real estate guy did understand his tenants would have less money, not more next month, but told all his tenants who couldn't fulfill their lease obligations, don't worry about it, you can pay me in a couple months. Ask yourself this, what is the commercial real estate guy really saying?
I hope that voters just remember, after 50 years in D.C. Joe never addressed this issue.
He helped create it!
Think about this, I think it's rational.
I don't see an election happening. Think of it like this, we have around 200 US citizen fatalities according to reports, due to coronavirus, correct?
With that being said, would there be an election it were today?
We'd have to assume there would be a cure, for an election to occur.
Personally, I suspect war powers act and no election.
CHINA doesn't make better stuff than us...they make it cheaper and more of it. WE are responsible to change this and if they do it better WE S U C K!
Bingo! They copy our technology..
Raceless in California!
I told a 20something year old girl yesterday that this is what socialism looks like. She looked at me like I had two heads.
|DRR All Star|
They do copy out technology and we may very well suck. Look at the demands that workers put forth for wages. Look at the cost of healthcare for our employers. Taxes. Regulations. Greedy assed CEO's. China doesn't have to deal with these things.
I have said this forever. Globalism is the path to making everything equal. It has the potential to drag China up out of the mud. But it drags Americans into the mud. We get to live just like they do. And if we get socialism, we get to be governed just like they do.
Foxtrot Juliet Bravo
It's up to the US to do it better, is a fallacy. The propaganda which lead to this mistaken belief is based on an unsound argument.
With that being said. What sovereign nation would negotiate a trade deal void of a comparative advantage?
The United States was designed and intended by the founders to be a wealthy sovereign republic.
It was the liberal conservatives who came over from the democratic party in the early 70's the neo-conservatives which worked to normalize the word/ free trade. Which really means free for them and at a cost to the United States. These people are the globalists. The neo-conservatives Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama.
People need to keep in mind these are American firms, making them multi-national corps doing the manufacturing in China and Mexico making huge profit margins. The factory in china and slave labor is already there when these firms arrive with a blueprint of what they want built.
Yet they'll be in line for handouts at a cost to we the people on both ends of the arrangement.
