The Great American Guaranteed Million which is a part of the Great American Bracket Race Series will be rescheduled from Memorial Weekend to October 6-11, 2020 at Memphis International Raceway, Millington, TN
While some parts of Tennessee will begin to open for business on May 1, Shelby County where MIR is located is one of five counties in the state that will continue to fall under a more restricted order thus forcing the postponement of the event.
Event Promoters Britt Cummings and Gaylon Rolison are all about hosting an event that includes lots of fun with high caliber races, cookouts and fellowship. With the current social distancing restrictions and economic challenges the Memorial weekend date just isn't a viable option.
In addition, Britt Cummings and Gaylon Rolison are committed to providing the safest atmosphere for the event which is truly an unknown factor at this time. Specifically, most of Tennessee has reached the point of flattening the curve of Covid-19 cases with the exception of some areas including Shelby County.
The postponement will allow many racers to get track time before the Great American Guaranteed Million as well as to allow some people to get back to work after being on hold during the Covid-19 pandemic, just to mention a few.
