What rear tires are you guys running on your roadsters? I have traction problems unless I run my air pressure down at 7psi but it make it very unstable on the big end

I've tried several tires and by far the best and most consistent is the 3074S - M/T 14x32 Stiff Sidewall. My car is fairly slow only running 5.90-6.0's but it'll go down a gravel road.

I've run 14x32 goodyears, 14x32 toyo's, 13.5x32S hoosiers, 10.5wx33 M/T and 14x32 M/T.

I only run 5.5 - 6 lbs.

Lots of things impact a roadster downtrack. Pinion angle, 4 link bars, shock settings, even body rake (wind under the rear). The tuning window is fairly small but once you find it they can be flat nasty.

I ran the 3074 tire on my altered and it was very good tire. If I remember right I ran 6.25 lbs of air. One thing when I started going faster than 5.20 in the 1/8 and 150 MPH in 1/4 mile the car felt "Loose" on top end. Put a wing on there and faster it went smoother and more stable it was.

Do not know how fast you are running but it may not be a tire issue but an Aerodynamics issue?

Man I'm really sorry to hear that. I have raced a roadster since 2005 and I have had a few of those moments but it never got that bad for me. I hope you didn't get hurt in the wreck.

I am sorry to hear that. On my altered when I started going faster than 5.20 or so the wing was a huge help. I did not notice it slowing it down any but I did notice faster you went the better the car handled and smoother. No more getting up on the tires and moving around.

Hope you get it fixed and all issues resolved.
