That is the way he stages. After doing a burnout he rolling at the right speed when you see the pre stage light come on JAM the brakes and then let go real quick then jam them again. Its just for straight staging in a dragster instead of having to back up and get all in line again. its all in the flex of the chassis and rear end.
It's isn't A big deal it's just the way to make sure that you have to take very few ,very small bumps to stage it just save time in the staging process. People all over question how a few of us turn the stage light on and off and the car doesn't stop rolling. i was just showing my buddy ronnie how i do it with out putting the car in reverse or touching any button. I had no idea he was putting it on youtube

Troy I haven't seen it so I'm just asking. Are just rolling in a little quick and nailing the brakes when you see the stage light? Not sure that would work with a door car because of the front brakes.

I like the idea of tightening up your distance bulb to bulb. I know some guys like to roll back and leave the top light on. The only thing I will say about Troy's staging procedure (NOT INTENDED FOR TROY AT ALL) is I have seen some people get in to deep that when it cleared the bottom bulb it had activated the stage timer when the other driver rolled into prestage.
Troy, have you had any issues with tracks that don't let you back up and leave the top bulb on. A couple places here make you clear both lights. Would your staging procedure be considered the last forward motion?
Yea Shawn I have had tracks that have "track rules" or can't read the rule book say things about it . As far as the starting auto start counter , if the other car is pre staged I don't do it . I just dont like taking the chance. Ty I have had that class more times than i ever wanted lol
