Backing down in gear is pretty hard on that engine, JS.

I'm sure I'll get slammed for this comment, so go ahead, do what you gotta do.

Nah, it's actually interesting you noticed. This is a converter , a friend had in his attic ten years he wanted us to try.

Last car down on a Thursday night test n tune 1.28 60 ft it worked fairly good but, I didn't like how it sounded either, from in the car. This is an active stator sprag converter. It actually seemed to rev when I stepped off it, to coast.

Spragless converters I'm accustomed too, don't act like this at all.

I agree, it seemed to rev for a split second when the power was removed, then decelerate the engine rpm hard.

Your thoughts today, were mine, in the car. This is the only WFO hit I made on this converter. I's very aggressive early, with quite a bit less efficiency down track, than my standard spragless TSI.

It's a pretty wild converter, bad dude Pro Tree converter design, for heavy car. Fairly fast too overall, considering extra slip.
