The new format of the Junior Dragster Team Finals made its exciting debut at Budds Creek last season; with a tough field of contenders from tracks far and wide! This year’s event will be run on the same team format, but has been expanded to a 3-day event. Each participating track (IHRA, NHRA or independent) is allowed to send up to three teams of ten cars each (all drivers must be registered as a points member at their track).

On Friday, gates and tech will open at 4:00 pm. There will be a Test & Tune session ($20 per car) starting at 6:00 pm. Then at 8:30 pm, we will run an optional and unique Dad/Crew Chief Gamblers Race featuring $1,000 to win! That’s right, dads or crew chiefs can put up $40 for each junior entry they wish (separate fee from test session) with all winnings paid directly to the dad or crew chief! This way, the junior racer gets the satisfaction of knowing they may get a few bucks slipped their way or know that they helped contribute to the racing budget by winning. The payout will be $1,000 to the winner, $250 to the runner-up, $100 to the semis and $50 to the quarter-finalists. The test session will conclude Friday night at 10:00 pm.
Now this is going to be fun!!!!

For anyone who has never went to MIR, it is a fun race. We went last year and can not wait to go this year. Now with the addition of Friday, it will be 3 days of fun. We will enter the 1K race for sure. Also have the kids bring their water guns as they have a water fight on 1 of the nights. They also have a mothers in JR's race and dads have a pit vehicle race. Awesome time!!

I wish all you guys luck at MIR.

The parents race sounds fun but I don't think we are going to be able to make it.

Most important, keep the shiny side up
